Came here from the Facebook group of Tbilisi. I lived there for a long while and had such a good time. I dated someone from Tbilisi for a couple months, and after that was over, I definitely felt a huge fatigue of a lot of transient relationships. After two years of nomading, I had to end it. I think that there are times in life where you chase novelty, and there's times in life where you chase compounding. I feel like my mental model is to spend more time (at least 75%) in one place and then 25% in exploration and novelty.
So for now, I have moved to the U.S., but I'm pretty excited about going to Canada again for a month just for snowboarding.
Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your experience. Your feelings are absolutely valid, transient relationships and the constant move of nomading can be both exciting and draining. I’m happy to hear that you have made lifestyle adjusting that feel calming :)
I have a base in budapest and travel/nomad often so our nervous systems sound quite aligned :)
Soon to transfer to Trieste! Excited, curious, and a bit scared. I guess that's all a part of the package
